Jennifer Lopez made headlines this summer when her long-suspected separation from actor Ben Affleck became official with the couple’s divorce being filed in August.
The superstar has been quiet since the news surfaced, but recently broke her silence and returned to Instagram to share a series of photos to update fans on what’s going on with her.
Lopez shared a carousel post on Instagram on Saturday with a caption of “Oh, it was a summer” and featured a few selfies, a shot of her eating ice cream, her cat, and one slide that says, “Everything is unfolding in divine order.”

Some of the other photos were a picture of her dog, a pic of a bubble bath, and a slide with a shirt that read, “She’s in bloom and unbothered, out of reach and at peace.”
A few of those slides clearly reference the divorce, which is Lopez’s fourth since previous marriages with Marc Anthony, Cris Judd, and Ojani Noa.
Lopez looks happy despite going through a rough patch and is spending plenty of time with her kids and pets to help get over Affleck.
The comment section showed plenty of support for Lopez, as her 252 million followers were pleased to see her happy and thriving while she enjoyed her summer.
It’s great to see Lopez break her silence and take the time to heal while leaning on her loved ones during a difficult time.
With August in the rearview mirror, summer is coming to a close, and we all should strive to enjoy it as much as JLo did.
