All things, both good and bad, eventually come to an end.

Skip Bayless’ time on television wasn’t the exception to that rule.

He recently announced that he was leaving FS1.

Bayless made a living out of calling out LeBron James, hot takes, and wild rants about teams and players.

For better or worse, it worked.

Some liked him, some didn’t, but they were all watching.

That’s no longer the case, and given his steep salary, it wasn’t much of a surprise to see the network cut ties with him.

Now, a report by Front Office Sports reveals that they could blow up most of its weekday studio-show lineup, with First Things First host Nick Wright as the potential future face of the network.

Of course, that makes perfect sense if they want to keep the same philosophy, as Wright has drawn countless parallels to Bayless over the years; he’s just younger.

If that’s not the case, they could and should consider an entirely different strategy.

ESPN has reportedly shut the door on a potential return for Bayless, who used to host First Take before Stephen A. Smith’s meteoric rise.

That’s not much of a surprise, either, as they reportedly didn’t end on good terms.

As of now, what the future holds for the journalist is still up in the air, and we could be looking at a new king at FS1.
